Dance at the Memorial Building
On Saturday, May 12th, Doty Island is hosting a ballroom dance at the Memorial Building! With your feedback from last year, we've made a few changes. For instance, this year we will have a live band. The Bob Kuether Band is a 9-piece orchestra including two singers from Manitowoc. The band specializes in ballroom dances and has been playing since the 1980's. DANCE WORKSHOP
Boogie Ballroom is offering Beginner and Intermediate classes before the dance for $16/person. The owners, Pam and Zeke Cribbs know how to have a great time and will teach you the moves! They also offer weekly group lessons at their studio on Mondays (Intermediate) and Tuesdays (Beginner). Visit their website for details about the group lessons. http://www.boogieballroom.com/
THE TICKETS
Last year we sold 164 tickets .... too many people! Since we need room to dance, we have a limit of 125 tickets. Purchase tickets through Doty Island's website (www.dotyisland.org/dance) or visit the following retailers in Neenah: Shellattes Coffee and Boogie Ballroom. Tickets purchased online will be held at the door for pickup on the day of the event. If you have any questions, please call Jacy Park at (920) 479-0894.
THE LOCATION
The dance will be held on the second floor of the Historical Menasha Memorial Building. Please note, there is no elevator to the 2nd floor. This year we will have muted ambient light inside and both balconies available lighted - another suggestion from last year!
