WINTER GALA
Saturday, February 3, 2024
The Winter Gala is an annual event hosted by the Menasha Parks and Recreation that takes place in Smith Park.
DIDC supports the event by donating Manderfield's cookies and hot chocolate. Board members volunteer their time distributing the food and drinks.
NEWSLETTERS
April, June and October 2024
The DIDC publishes a 10-page newsletter three times per year. We are always looking for article ideas and features pertaining to our Doty Island Community.
All current members (public donors) are listed inside the newsletter. Businesses can choose to have their business card added as well.

CLEAN UP DAY
Saturday, May 4, 2024
We've been cleaning up the island for every year since 1991. Volunteers meet at the Community Building (181 E North Water Street, Neenah) at 9am.
Volunteers receive donuts/juice, garbage bags, and nitrile gloves. They are assigned an area to clean. Both Neenah and Menasha donate dumpsters for waste to be deposited.
This year, DIDC will be partcipating in Menasha's Sesquicentennial Button Hunt. Particpants will receive a Doty Island Cleanup Day button for their service to the community.

April 2024
You have the opportunity to sponsor one of the planters along the Commercial Street corridor. Sponsors donate funds to help alleviate the cost of maintenance, plants and watering of the planters.
The planters are part of DIDC's beautification program. We appreciate the support.

RUMMAGE SALES

Hello Islanders! Have you been cleaning out your garage, house, closet, attic? Would you like help advertising your items for sale? Have a rummage sale during our annual Doty Island Rummage Sales!
Registration costs NOTHING. We will just need to know your address and what items you are selling. We will add the sales to our map and advertise on social media, our website and multiple rummage sale websites.
We do the work of advertising; you reap the benefits!

HISTORY WALK

Take our independent walking tour at your own leisure. Homes and businesses will have large signs in front of them telling you interesting information about each location.
This FREE event will be updated closer to the tour dates.

PORCHFEST
Thursday, August 22, 2024
Join us as we take over Smith Park for the evening. There will be bands, food, kids activities and more FUN.
This community event is FREE. We ask you walk or bike if possible to reduce the vehicle traffic.

CHEER TENT

Menasha Park and Rec is hosting the annual Grunski Runski. The route goes through Doty Island so we will be there to cheer on the participants!
DIDC is coordinating a Cheer Tent the morning of the event. We encourage Doty Island residents to come on out and cheer with us!

OTTO GRUNSKI BIKE CLASSIC
September 29th, 2024
In celebrating the City of Menasha’s 150th anniversary, Smith Park will be hosting this come-back event. The original Biking Classic took place from 1973 until 2002.
HOMETOWN HALLOWEEN
Thursday, October 24, 2024
Join us in Downtown Menasha as DIDC volunteers at this FREE community event. Costumed children visit the stores of downtown Menasha and receive treats.
DIDC is located at the Senior Center handing out hot and cold cider for all trick-or-treaters.

ANNUAL MEETING
Monday, November 18th - 6:30 PM
Every year we invite our members to the annual meeting. The meeting consists of Happy Hour, followed by dinner.
Various DIDC Board Members present such topics as finance and accomplishments.
Through our Mowry's Table program, we also choose one organization that positively impacts the Doty Island community and fundraise for that organization.
