Saturday's Gala Starts at Noon!
Good News! The Menasha Park and Rec found enough snow for us to still have our event! Due to the shortage of clean snow, we are still able to have the snow sculpting contest at the Memorial Building although many of the snow bases are smaller (just means you spend less time in the cold!) In addition to the snow sculpting, the N-M Fire Department is making 15 gallons of their "Fireman's Chili" and DIDC has plenty of hot chocolate (with marshmallows!) and Manderfields cookies to share. Attend this free event - with food included - and watch while your neighbors work side-by-side with professional sculptors to create their own winter art.
If you are interested in entering the snow sculpting contest, please call Menasha Park & Rec to find out if they have any spots still open. Sign up ends on January 31st.
If you were wondering how the snow bases are made, check out the clip from Channel 5 here:
You'll want to come! In addition to snow sculpting, we have other events such as:
* 1pm - Children's Storytelling in the Memorial Building.
* 12:00-3:30pm - Menasha Historical Society is open to the public.
* 12:00-3:30pm - Petting zoo
* Outdoor winter golf. Three age groups and trophies given to the winners.
We look forward to seeing you there!
