Doty's Little Libraries
Since our original Little Library article in August 2014, Doty Island now has another ten Little Libraries. The libraries themselves are hand-crafted structures that contain constantly changing collections of books donated and shared by people of all ages and backgrounds. The basic rule is: Take a Book; Leave a Book. This is very important!
Originally designed to look like a one-room school or a house of books, the Libraries rapidly took on a wide variety of sizes, shapes, themes and other attributes. There is no standard size and shape. Below are the addresses of Little Libraries for Doty Island. Our website lists these addresses along with pictures of each of the libraries! CLICK HERE

The nice part about these libraries is: they don’t require library cards or late fines, don’t insist that patrons whisper or stay quiet, and don’t mind if you do not return a book. For more information on how to create your own Little FreeLibrary, visit http://littlefreelibrary.org
