NEW!
Gardens of Doty Fun-Raiser
July 2026 - July 2027

We are delighted to announce that accomplished watercolor artist and teacher - and Doty Island neighbor - Anne Anderson will serve as our 2026-27 Artist in Residence.
Beginning in July, Anne will lean fully into her many strengths with a yearlong DICP fundraising series titled Gardens of Doty - a collection of custom, commissioned watercolor paintings from your garden.
With a minimum donation of $25 to Doty Island Community Partners (DICP), you can showcase your lovely garden and support your neighborhood.
Participants receive a high-resolution digital image and the artist’s original sketchbook page.
Your donation helps fund Doty Island special projects and events that keep our community vibrant...
So have fun and give generously!

THE GARDENS OF DOTY
Spring & Summer: At Peak Bloom
During the peak garden months, Anne will offer real-time commissions to DICP neighborhood donors. With a little encouragement, you might even convince her to paint plein air in your own yard space. Invite a few friends. Pour something cold. Watch the magic unfold as a special corner or detail of your landscape takes shape on paper.
There is something quietly thrilling about seeing your own hydrangeas, hostas, roses - your work - interpreted through an artist's eye.
Fall & Winter: Color from the Cold Months
When the growing season winds down, Anne will work from the photographs you provide of your beloved garden. What better way to carry summer forward than a luminous watercolor on your wall or bookshelf?
Each commissioned piece is suitable for framing.
Gardens of Doty Watercolor Request Form
After you submit your request, you’ll be redirected to the DICP Donation Page.
A donation of $25 (or more) helps support neighborhood favorites like seasonal planters, Porch Fest, the History Walk or the Rummage Sales...
just a few of the neighborhood extras that help make our community such a special place to live.
