Holiday Events Near You!
There are many holiday events Islanders can participate in throughout the month of December. This weekend check out Neenah's Live Mannequin Event and the Neenah-Menasha Model Railroad Club Open House. One is on Friday and the other is on Saturday so you can attend both!
This Friday, December 1:
Live Mannequin Event happens every year in downtown Neenah from 6pm- 8pm. There are MANY happenings for this event. To see a full agenda - including where to find Santa - CLICK HERE
This Saturday, December 2:
Check out the Model Railroad Club - you'll be glad you did! The club is located at 323 W. Forest Avenue in an old Railroad Depot. The scenery is fantastic and the trains will be running so if you enjoy seeing your community in miniature.... don't miss it! Open 9am - 5pm.
Next Friday, December 8:
Menasha's Holiday Hayride coincides with the Congregational United Church of Christ's "Live Nativity Scene". The volunteers from the church have a fantastic scenery and costumes - and they are out there no matter the cold! You will pass them while you are enjoying your Holiday Hayride. The nativity scene can be seen in front of the church which is located at 1511 Nicolet Boulevard, Neenah.
Eight hayrides will take off from the Menasha Memorial Building (640 Keyes Street, Menasha). The first trip departs at 5:00pm and the last trip of the evening leaves at 8:30pm. To register, contact the Menasha Park & Rec Department - 60 seats per ride. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the Memorial Building on the day of the event starting at 5:00pm. COST: $2/ticket. Ages 2 and under are free.
Next Saturday, December 9:
Downtown Menasha's Main Street is having their second annual "12 Days of Christmas” from 4:00-8:00pm. There will be live reindeer, free hot cocoa, horse drawn carriage rides and carolers singing store window themed music.
NEW THIS YEAR: Downtown businesses are doing a fundraiser to benefit the community. Businesses created window displays ("Holiday Songs" is the theme!). They are asking YOU to vote for your favorite storefront display by placing a donation in our holiday decorated collection boxes, located on each shops register counter. Voting will go on for 12-days, until December 20th. All collected funds from each shop will be donated to support LEAVEN!
