Big things are happening on the west side of Doty Island this summer with Rock the Block, Loop the Lake and Porchapolloza. Menasha will be leading off these summer events with its 34th annual Arbor Day Celebration at Shepard Park. The city will be partnering with Menasha Utilities and UW Fox Valley. During the ceremony, Menasha Utilities will be ccertified as a Tree Line Utility and UW Fox Valley will be named as a Tree Campus.

Over 20 trees will be planted in Shepard Park and along the route of the Loop the Lake Trail thanks to a grant from the Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission. Neighbors are encouraged to participate in planting trees along with students and volunteers at 9:00am on April 28th at Shepard Park, Menasha.
