GRUNSKI BIKESKI - Sunday, Sept 29

In celebrating the City of Menasha’s 150th anniversary, Smith Park will be hosting the come-back event: The Otto Grunski Biking Classic. The original Biking Classic took place from 1973 until 2002 in honor of Otto Grunski, the Menasha inventor of the “Boneshaker”, a precursor to the modern bicycle.

There are 3 race-types for participants to complete:

  • The Community Criterium (participants race for number of laps within 20 minutes)

  • The Novelty Bike 1 mile (not timed, bikes are judged on crowd favorites)

  • The Kids ¼ mile (parade-style)
